Creamy Ranch Pork Chops
Video below on this very easy and versatile dish.
Who doesn't love a good nickname? Maverick. Goose. Cutie Pie. Pork Chop. That's right. Pork Chop. I've realized in my adult years that I could have totally rocked the nickname Pork Chop. And you may be wondering, why, so let me share. Pork Chops are super versatile, in my opinion, when it comes to cooking. How they can be cooked and how they can be served. I feel like I was pretty versatile when I was growing up AND I did and do in fact love pork chops. Honestly, I think it could have worked!
Ingredients/Recipe:
4 boneless pork chops
1 packet of ranch dressing seasoning
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
4 oz of cream cheese (room temperature)
Putting it Together:
In a bowl, mix together your cream of mushroom soup and cream cheese and set aside. Grab your crockpot and spray the sides and bottom, and then add the porkchops. Season them with the ranch dressing (I used about 1/2-3/4 of the packet) and then get your bowl with the cream of mushroom and cream cheese mixture, and spoon in covering the pork chops.
Place on low for 4-5 hours. Check at 4 hours to see how well the meat is cooked. The time you cook it within the 4-5 hour range will depend on how thick the pork chops are and how well done you want your meat.
Serving:
As noted above, pork is versatile, so here are three great ways you can serve these creamy ranch chops!
As is, with some of the creamy mix poured over the pork chop, with a potato and vegetable side. Simple, country, and delicious.
Over a bed of pasta. Spaghetti, penne and egg noodles all work great! Kind of like a beef stroganoff, but with pork chops.
Over a bed of crunchy chow mien noodles. Again, like a stroganoff, and the crunch of the chow mien noodles is great with the soft and creamy texture of the creamy ranch pork chops.
Load of Crock Tip(s):
If you prefer a thicker cream/gravy over the pork chops, add more cream cheese to the cream of mushroom and cream cheese mixture.
And for an extra creamy mixture use a hand mixer for mixing the cream of mushroom and cream cheese together.
So, if you or someone you know is in the market for a new nickname, I highly recommend considering Pork Chop. But, if you just aren't that into it as a nickname, I understand, however, you should at minimum consider making these very simple, very versatile, creamy ranch pork chops.
