Simple Beef Stroganoff

Is it just me, or does the word ‘stroganoff' just sound like a lot of work? Maybe just me. No matter, because of this, I wanted to make this as simple as possible, so I give you my 5-ingredient, and super easy, beef stroganoff!

 Ingredients/Recipe:

  • 1 bag of wide egg noodles

  • 1-1.5 lbs. of ground hamburger, fried

  • 8 oz container of mushrooms

  • 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup

  • 1/2 C of sour cream

  • Salt and pepper

Putting it Together:

On the stovetop, fry up the hamburger and the mushrooms. Once done, add in the 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup and sour cream, mix it all together really well, add some salt and pepper, and any other seasonings you may enjoy, and then let it simmer on the stovetop.

Meanwhile, boil up the egg noodles to your liking, and once done, drain.

 Serving

Once the noodles are ready, serve immediately with the hamburger mixture over top. As always, we love carbs in our house, so we always have this with crunchy bread, obviously full of butter. Side salads are great with it, too!

 Load of Crock Tip(s):

  • You can easily sub ground turkey for the hamburger if you would prefer.

  • We grew up eating this over chow mien noodles, so this is a fun alternative if you want to sub these for the egg noodles.

  • You can really get the sauce chunky by adding more mushrooms or meat, or both.

  • Superb leftover, in my opinion.
