Crockpot Peach Cobbler

Video below on how to make this sweet deal of a dessert

It's pretty sweet to have my Venus apron back in the kitchen! And you know what else is sweet? This peach cobbler! And besides this amazing play on words, or at least, play on words, the other thing they have in common is they are both deals. How's that? Oh, thanks for asking, I will tell you.

The Venus apron got fixed by a local seamstress for the bargain and deal of a price of $7.00. This peach cobbler has three ingredients, and when you get to the cash register, $7 or less. No, your eyes are not going bad. That is correct. $7 or less for this crockpot dessert! I mean, deal. Am. I. Right?

Ingredients/Recipe:

  • 2 cans of peach pie filling (21 oz. cans)

  • 1 stick of unsalted butter (cut into cubes)

  • 1 box of white or vanilla cake mix

Putting it Together:

Spray your crockpot, bottoms and side, then add in the two cans of peach pie filling. Pour the cake mix over the top as evenly as you can, and then place the cubes of cold butter evenly over the top. Place on high for 2.5-3 hours, until cake mix is no longer powdery and nicely soaked in, and then following this, let it sit in the crockpot, off, for about 45 minutes.

Serving

Serve warm/hot after it has been sitting off for 45 minutes, it tastes better than a lot of things, with vanilla ice cream.

Load of Crock Tip(s):

A really great thing about this dessert is that if you aren't a fan of peaches, or you just want to try something different, you can substitute them with any pie fillings (strawberry, blueberries, etc.), and it works the same!

So, there you have it! A sweet deal of a dessert, this peach cobbler!
