Crock Pot Cheesy Potatoes
Video below on how check these cheesy potatoes off the list
I have checked a lot off of the list since my last YouTube video and recipe- rang in the new year, my kid ended one school year and started another, we launched our Load of Crock Slow Cooker Liners…it's been a lot. So, I am happy to be back at it and sharing something else we all can check off our list; cheesy potatoes in the crock pot!
Ingredients/Recipe:
1, 32 oz. bag of frozen, diced potatoes
1 can cream of mushroom soup
3/4-1 cup of Top the Tater (or any chive and onion dip/mixture)
8 oz of shredded cheese (marble jack recommended for maximum oozy goodness)
Corn flakes (optional)
1/2-1 stick of butter (optional)
Putting it Together:
In a bowl combine the potatoes, mushroom soup, Top the Tater, and half of the shredded cheese. Mix it all together so that the potatoes are all nicely coated. Place mixture into crock pot, and place on low for 3 hours.
At the 3 hour mark, you will have a cheesy crock of goodness! If you want to try the corn flakes and butter, you would then put the crushed up corn flakes over the top, melt your butter and pour it over, and then put it back on high for 30 minutes. A not so pro tip: sometimes the corn flakes give it a nice crunch, and sometimes they are softer than I would like, so maybe the first run with these, forgo the final step, and serve after the 3 hours, but totally up to you!
Serving
These are a great side dish, or if you love carbs and dairy as much as I do, let's be honest. Go ahead and eat them as a main dish. They are perfect right out of the slow cooker, so cheesy and lovely!
Load of Crock Tip(s):
As noted above, take note on the corn flakes approach. Sometimes if I just do the corn flakes, but no butter, they turn out crunchier, for obvious reasons. But overall, just want to make sure to throw this one out there.
This is a great dish to bring to a gathering, as they are generally a crowd pleaser, and with them being in the slow cooker, they remain warm for a period of time.
Our slow cooker liners are perfect for this dish! Not only to reduce clean up, but even for storing leftovers in the parchment paper, in a container, also reducing clean up of the container.
So glad to be back at it! Cheesy potatoes in the crock pot? CHECK!
